LeanMoola.com was launched in early 2010 to offer information on money management strategies, with a Lean Management approach. You may wonder, what is Lean Management? For those not familiar with Lean Management, this concept is basically a production practice that considers the expenditure of resources (money) for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer to be wasteful, and thus a target for elimination. Working from the perspective of the customer who consumes a product or service, “value” is defined as any action or process that a customer would be willing to pay for. Basically, lean is centered around creating more value with less work.

In other words, Lean Management applied to Lean Money Management Strategies helps us pinpoint where our money is being wasted by using such tools as budgets, surveys, etc., to develop a plan to see where we can cut expenses in order to be able to save more money.

Why Was LeanMoola started?

This blog was started because I wanted to share with the online community the tips and research I have gathered over the years, in trying to understand my own money leaks, and how I’ve managed to patch some holes. The internet is full of useful and not so useful information pertaining to money management, my goal is to share my personal thoughts and hope that those reading my articles can find something useful and apply it to their own situations.
